Engineer (Process/Instrument) |
The client is Local listed MNC, they started as a distributor of engineering products in 1984. With the commitment to be a preferred business partner, they contantly refine the quality of their services throughout these years and since expanded to include stocking, engineering design and fabrication for products used in industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Marine, Utilities & Environmental. Job Duties: 1. Identify, source and select suitable instruments and major equipment used for th specific system package equipment based on clients' specification and in compliance with industry standard. Assist in negotiation with vendors before procurement. 2. Read and check specification and drawing provided by client for bidding stage. And ensure our designers' designs and drawings are in line with clients's specifications and meet industry codes & standards requirement before submission to client for review/approval 3. Prepare equipment data sheets (using ISA formats or others) and procedures (painting, testing etc) for clients' review and approval. 4. Attend technical clarifications meetings with clients during bidding stage, and attend project kick-off meeting with client or its appointed 3rd party representative/Inspector and after award of project. 5. Liaise with customers, vendors and subcontractors for process and instruments related matters to ensure that the technical requirements are met. Requirements: 1. Degree/Diploma in Chemical, Electrical or Instrument Engineering with at least 5 years of experience on instrumentation. 2. Basic understanding or familiar with marine/offshore oil & gas industries requirements, and code/standard requirements like API, ASME, ISA etc. 3. Field experience in marine/offshore oil & gas industries would be an added advantage. 4. Proficient in MS Word and Excel is essential 5. Reasonably good i written and oral communication skills is essential. Salary range : up to $2500 based experiences Working hours : Mon-Fri 0830 to 1800
